Learning From John 4 – Worship in Spirit and Truth

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23)Praise and worship are important aspects of our spiritual lives, and important functions of the church. Worship is the only activity that the Bible describes as constantly occurring in heaven, at every moment (Revelation 4:8-11). Worship is the one activity we do on earth that coincides or overlaps with what is occurring in heaven at that moment. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE HYMNAL by Hendrickson

Our worship is a mix of songs that we sing directly from the Bible (Psalms or some of the “songs” in Isaiah) and classic hymns. We’ve found this particular hymnal to be very easy to use in our worship. Click here or here or here to read more about it from the publisher (index of songs, sample pages, etc.). -
NIV WORSHIP EDITION BIBLE – International Bible Society (Biblica)

We provide Bibles in our meetings for everyone who attends – so that those who are new to the Bible have an easier time finding the right passage (all the Bibles are identical and have the same page numbering). We also sing a number of our worship songs directly from the Bible, so it is helpful to have everyone using the same version. We recognize that there are a number of excellent English translations available (NKJV, NASB, NEV, ESV, etc.), but we use this Bible for convenience. You can learn more about this version and edition from the publisher here.
